Meet Our Team

Tony Knoble is the CEO and Co-founder of TWG Development, LLC, and related entities. As CEO of the organization for the past 16 years, Tony has led the company to tremendous growth by constructing, developing and managing multifamily and affordable housing across the country. Under his leadership, TWG has expanded its presence into over 18 states, transacting over $2 billion in development costs and creating more than 10,000 units nationwide.

Tony believes passionately that housing is a right for all, which in 2007 led him to co-founding TWG, a full-service real estate development company based in Indianapolis. Tony is committed to closing the national affordable housing gap by developing high-quality communities that drastically improve living conditions and its surrounding areas. He is a leader in the housing industry and oversees development financing activities such as the usage of low-income housing tax credits (LIHTC). As the head of TWG and its entities, Tony helps guide the mission of building a better world, one community at a time.

Prior to co-founding TWG, Tony graduated from Indiana University Kelley School of Business with a B.S. degree in Accounting and Finance and a specialization in Real Estate. Tony joined Pedcor Investments in May 2006 as the vice president of development, where he was responsible for identifying developments and assisting the financing of projects in Illinois, Iowa, Michigan and Alabama.

Tony is a member of the IU Real Estate Board, IU Kelley School of Business - Advisory Board Managing Director Level, Indiana Affordable Housing Council Board, YPO Indiana and Penrod Society, and he was also named to the Indianapolis Business Journal's Forty Under 40 in 2017. Tony enjoys spending time with his wife, Jamie, and his three children, Simon, Estelle, and AJ.

Justin Collins grew up in Fort Wayne, IN and graduated from Ball State University in 2006 with a Master’s degree in Accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a member of the Indiana CPA Society.

Justin joined Dauby, O’Connor & Zaleski, LLC (DOZ) in July of 2006 specializing in rental real estate audits and tax returns. His primary responsibilities were to analyze and supervise the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, partnership agreements and low-income housing tax credit applications.

In 2012, Justin joined TWG Development, LLC, a full-service real estate development company based in Indianapolis, IN as the Vice President of Accounting. During his tenure, he oversaw all financial aspects of the real estate entities which developed over $700 million in development and over 5,000 units. During this period the company grew from 50 to over 200 employees and expanded from one to 12 states.

In 2019 he became an owner and the Chief Finance Officer. His primary responsibilities are to oversee the finances and operations of the development, construction, and management companies and provide strategic oversight.

Justin and his wife, Elizabeth, live in Fishers, IN and have five children, Shane, Libby, Sydney, James, and Savannah.

J.B. Curry joined TWG in 2014 and serves as President of TWG Development, responsible for the leadership, management, operation, and strategic direction of three divisions within Development: LIHTC, Market Rate, and Acquisitions. Through extensive industry experience and a process-driven approach, he leads TWG's market rate and LIHTC development efforts to identify, analyze, secure, and drive multifamily opportunities for their best use and financial success. As TWG is a full-service, vertically integrated firm, J.B. also leads coordination efforts with design, preconstruction, construction, and management teams throughout the life of the project.

J.B. graduated from Indiana University – Kelley School of Business in 2010 with a B.S. in Finance and minor in Political Science, and earned his J.D. from Indiana University – McKinney School of Law in 2013, where he served on the Indiana Health Law Review, Dean’s Tutorial Society, and founded the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program.

Prior to joining TWG, J.B. practiced law at Riley Bennett & Egloff, LLP where he represented clients in commercial and business litigation, as well as real estate transactions.

He serves on Stadium Village Business Association's Development Committee in Indianapolis' Southside neighborhood. He enjoys skiing and travel with his wife.

Dustin Detzler joined TWG in 2015 and serves as General Counsel. As a fully integrated company, Dustin’s focus is on leading TWG’s legal and risk management efforts as it pertains to all aspects of development, construction, and management.

Dustin graduated from Indiana University – Kelley School of Business with B.S. in Finance and obtained his J.D. from Indiana University – Robert H. McKinney School of Law. Prior to joining TWG, Dustin worked with private sector focusing on commercial real estate finance and development.

Dustin and his wife, Katie, live in Westfield with their three children, Reagan, Rowan, and Riley. Dustin enjoys traveling and spending time with his family, golfing, and supporting anything IU!

Kyle Gant joined TWG in 2021 as a Real Estate Paralegal and assists with commercial, market rate, LIHTC and mixed-use developments.  His responsibilities include managing due diligence, reviewing title and survey, reviewing legal documentation for accuracy, collaborate with third parties to clear conditions required for closing and assisting the Development and Finance teams.

Prior to joining TWG, Kyle was a Real Estate Paralegal at Dinsmore & Shohl LLP and brings 6 years of real estate experience.  In this role, Kyle was responsible for overseeing multi-million dollar FHA and conventional real estate transactions, managing due diligence and acting as subject matter expert for all applicable loan policies and procedures.

In his free time, Kyle enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter and their Wheaten Terrier, Gypsy.  If Kyle isn’t spending time with his family, you can usually find him on a golf course.

Ryan Kelly, CPA, CGMA, joined TWG in 2017 and acts as the Vice President of Tax Credit Development. He oversees TWG's LIHTC development efforts and is responsible for sourcing new tax credit opportunities nationwide through building market relationships, networking, and his familiarity with market specific factors and state agency considerations. Mr. Kelly spent ten years in public accounting with the CPA firms Dauby O’Connor & Zaleski (DOZ) and Whitinger & Company, with a focus in the real estate industry.

Prior to joining TWG, Mr. Kelly was the chief financial officer of RealAmerica Development, a developer of affordable housing. In this role, Ryan structured and negotiated with debt and equity partners for all real estate transactions. He belongs to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and served on the Indiana CPA Society Leadership Cabinet.

Mr. Kelly graduated from Ball State University in 2005 earning his B.A. in Accounting. Ryan is active in his community and serves on various boards.

Chase Smith joined TWG in 2022 and acts as the Vice President of Market Rate Development. He oversees TWG’s Market Rate development efforts and is responsible for sourcing new opportunities across the country through networking, building local relationships, and analyzing market trends.

Prior to joining TWG, Mr. Smith served as Vice President of Development at Holladay Properties, a diversified real estate development firm in Indianapolis. In this role, Chase led various industrial, multifamily, hospitality, and master-planned land projects totaling over $100MM in development.

Mr. Smith graduated from Indiana University – Kelley School of Business in 2015 with a B.S. in Finance and minor in Spanish, and earned his Master’s in Business Administration from Purdue University – Krannert School of Management in 2019.

Bridget Hilts is TWG's Director of Development Operations. She joined the TWG Team in 2019 as a Development Assistant to help oversee LIHTC developments in Georgia, Colorado, Utah, Oklahoma, Ohio, Iowa, Missouri, and Indiana. In this role, she assisted Ryan Kelly in developing and closing on more than 700 new construction units and more than 1,000 acq/rehab units, as well as extending TWG's affordable footprint in three states. Following her success in this position, Bridget was promoted to Director of Development Operations to oversee the day-to-day operations of the development team and team-wide adherence to established processes and procedures.

Prior to joining TWG, Bridget was the Marketing and IT Manager for RealAmerica Development, a developer of affordable housing. In this role, Bridget designed marketing materials; monitored and updated the company website and social media sites; planned grand openings, groundbreakings, staff events, and trainings; answered media calls; and acted as liaison between third-party IT company and employees.

Bridget graduated from Ball State University in 2013 earning a B.S. in Marketing. Outside of work, Bridget and her husband love going to concerts & comedy shows, taking their two dogs on walks, and going on new adventures!

Brian joined TWG in 2022 as a Senior Development Director. Brian focuses on both new construction and acquisition/rehab LIHTC development in the Southeast, with his primary territories being Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. His responsibilities include site selection, due diligence, analyzing the financial feasibility of projects, coordinating development and financing structures, and working with state agencies to help close the housing affordability gap through multifamily LIHTC development.

Prior to TWG, Brian worked as an appraiser and market analyst for 15 years, with the most recent seven years focusing on affordable housing appraisals and market studies with Novogradac. Brian is a certified general appraiser and has been involved in multiple facets of commercial real estate. He began his career working in the industrial space as an industrial engineer and operations manager for Black & Decker and Ingersoll Rand.

Brian graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) in 1995 with a B.S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering. Brian currently resides in Atlanta and enjoys traveling, attending sporting events, and spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephew.

Megan Adams joined TWG Development, LLC in April 2020. Her responsibilities include securing sites, due diligence, partnerships with local agencies, contract negotiations, design and entitlement, underwriting, relationship building, securing public and private funding, and leading the development team for developments across the western United States.

Prior to TWG, Megan worked at Imagine Housing developing near Seattle where her team worked on projects using highly competitive 4% and 9% low income housing tax credit financing in a high-income, high-cost region. She graduated from University of Washington with a master’s degree in real estate development. She is additionally academically trained in urban planning, dance, environmental science, and outdoor recreation. Megan grew up surfing in San Diego and enjoys performance arts and backpacking with her dogs.

Alex joined TWG in 2022 as a Development Director. Alex focuses on both new construction and acquisition/rehab LIHTC development in the Midwest, with his primary territories being Michigan and Ohio. His responsibilities include site selection, due diligence, analyzing the financial feasibility of projects, coordinating development and financing structures, and working with state agencies to bring potential LIHTC projects to fruition.

Prior to TWG, Alex has been involved in multiple facets of commercial real estate. He began his career as a commercial real estate broker before getting into development. Since then, he has experience in both LIHTC and market rate development, ranging from site selection and due diligence all the way through permits and approvals.

Alex graduated from Purdue University in 2015 with a B.S. in Economics. In 2018, he earned his law degree from Michigan State University. Alex found his passion for real estate development in law school, where he excelled in courses focusing on real estate law. While an Indy native, Alex currently resides in Cleveland, Ohio.

Allen Dauterman joined TWG Development mid 2021 as a development director focused on affordable housing development efforts in Washington and Oregon. Allen lives and works in Newcastle, WA. He brings over 30 years of planning and architectural experience with a focus on large mixed use and large format retail projects across North America, with the recent five years focused on multifamily affordable housing developments in the greater Seattle area.

Prior to joining TWG, Allen served as a real estate developer for Imagine Housing, a non-profit developer, owner, and services provider working in Washington’s Bellevue, Redmond, Kirkland, and Bothell areas. During Allen’s time at Imagine Housing, he worked with the development team to bring over 500 new units using highly competitive 4% and 9% low income housing tax credit financing in a high-income, high-cost region.

Allen graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelor of Architecture degree in 1985. Allen has been very active in his community having served as a Planning Commissioner, City Council Member, and Mayor of Newcastle. He continues advocating for affordable housing policies at municipal, county, and state levels.

Grant Deaton joined TWG Development, LLC in 2020, where he spent two years on the Finance team before transitioning to his current role as a Development Director in the Market Rate Development department. Primarily focused on the Southeast, his duties include sourcing new development opportunities, financial underwriting, entitlements, contract negotiation, and analyzing market trends.

Grant graduated from the University of Kentucky Gatton College of Business in 2020 earning a B.S. degree in Finance. While in school, Grant was involved in Greek Life as he was a member of the Beta Theta Pi Fraternity and served as the VP of Finance for the Interfraternity Council. He was also an avid member of the Finance Society.

In his free time, Grant enjoys spending time with his wife and their Golden Retriever, Baker, playing golf, going to the lake, and watching sports.

Jackson joined TWG in 2022 as a Development Director. Jackson focuses on both new construction and acquisition/rehab LIHTC developments in the Midwest, with his primary territories being Iowa, Wisconsin, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas and Kansas. His responsibilities include site selection, due diligence, analyzing the financial feasibility of projects, coordinating development and financing structures, and working with state agencies to bring LIHTC projects to fruition.

Prior to his current role, Jackson has been involved in a variety of aspects of the real estate and LIHTC industries, including having experience previously working with TWG, as well as gaining experience at a national LIHTC syndicator and with a state housing agency. Most recently, Jackson worked at a law firm representing developers as a transactional real estate and tax attorney.

Jackson attended undergrad at Purdue University and subsequently graduated in 2020 from both IU McKinney School of Law cum laude, and the University of Indianapolis’s M.P.S. Real Estate Development program graduating as the top scholar in real estate development. Jackson enjoys traveling with his fiancé, watching sports, and hiking with their two dogs.

Marisa Conatser joined TWG Development in 2021 and serves as a Development Associate helping with LIHTC projects in states across the U.S. Her responsibilities include identifying and analyzing new opportunity areas outside of TWG’s current portfolio, assembling tax credit applications, and assisting on new construction and acquisition/rehabs.

Marisa graduated from Ball State University in 2021 with a Master’s degree in Organizational Communication Development. During her graduate program, Marisa worked as an Assistant Course Director at Ball State University and as the Director of Property Services for a local property management company.

Outside of work, Marisa enjoys traveling, hiking, and going to concerts.

Brian joined TWG in 2024 as a Development Associate and specializes in LIHTC development in the Central Region, primarily in Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, and Wisconsin. His responsibilities include assisting with site selection, due diligence, financial feasibility analysis, development and financing structure coordination, and working with state agencies to bring LIHTC projects to fruition.

Prior to joining TWG, Brian worked at KPMG as a Real Estate Valuations Associate in their Economic and Valuation Services group.

Brian graduated from Indiana University – Kelley School of Business in 2022 with a B.S. in Finance and Real Estate. While attending Indiana University, Brian was involved in the Commercial Real Estate Workshop, Real Estate Private Equity Program, and Beta Theta Pi Fraternity.

Brian enjoys traveling, exploring new restaurants, and outdoor activities including hunting and fishing, skiing, and golf.

Cole joined TWG in 2023 as a Development Associate working in the tax credit division. He focuses on LIHTC developments in the Midwest, primarily in Indiana, Ohio, and Michigan. He is responsible for financial underwriting, due diligence, market research, and site selection.

Cole graduated from Northeastern University in 2023 with a B.S. in Business Administration with concentrations in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. During his time at Northeastern, he was the Vice President of the Real Estate club.

Outside of work, Cole enjoys watching hockey, playing golf, and listening to live music.

Dominic Kej joined TWG as a Development Analyst in 2022. He specializes in the LIHTC sector of development in the Mountain Plains Region. His responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting in due diligence, market research, financial feasibility, site selection, and locating federal funding.

Dominic grew up in Indianapolis and graduated from Indiana University- Bloomington in 2022 with a B.S. in Liberal Studies, concentration in Mathematical Science. and a minor in Business. During his time at IU, he created lifelong connections during his participation in clubs like the Real Estate Club and fraternity, Sigma Alpha Epsilon.

In his spare time, Dominic enjoys traveling, going for long runs, spending time with family and friends, and collecting shoes.

John McClain joined TWG in 2021 as a Development Analyst and has moved into the role of a Development Associate within the Market Rate Development department. His responsibilities include sourcing new development opportunities, acquisitions & dispositions, underwriting, analyzing market data, coordinating development and financing structures, along with working with lenders, investors, and local municipalities.

John graduated from Indiana University – Kelley School of Business in 2021 with a B.S. in Finance, Real Estate, and International Business.

Outside of work, John enjoys traveling, sailing, climbing, and skiing.

Seth is a Development Associate, working with deals on both the LIHTC and Market Rate sides. He focuses on coordination of the development processes of design, permitting, and reporting. Seth serves as a leader to the design and construction teams, various consultants, and local, state, and federal agencies for the execution of the project.

Prior to TWG Development, Seth was an integral team member involved in pre-construction services at a multifamily general contractor in Denver. He graduated from Metropolitan State University in 2020 with a degree in Finance. Outside of work he enjoys weightlifting, snowboarding, and spending time with family.

John joined TWG in the fall of 2022. He is a licensed architect and has been practicing architecture for over 15 years. He has a wide range of experience in different product types including high-rise and mid-rise residential, hospitality, mixed-use, and custom single-family homes. Prior to joining TWG, John was primarily managing multifamily apartment projects throughout the Midwest, east coast, and west coast. Those projects ranged in size from 40 units to over 300 units across garden style, type III & V on-grade, wrap, and podium style buildings, with construction budgets as high as $80 million.

John graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture, followed by a dual MBA/MRED graduate degree from the University of Southern California. He is also NCARB certified and a LEED AP professional.

Danielle Downer joined TWG in January of 2023. She is NCIDQ certified and is a registered interior designer in Indiana. Danielle serves as TWG’s Senior Interior Designer and is responsible for the full scope of ID services on affordable multifamily projects and overseeing work provided by outside interior designers on market rate and select affordable multifamily projects. She works closely with development, property management, and other departments at TWG, in addition to external consultants and vendors to provide design solutions and FF&E for quality housing for all.

Prior to joining TWG, Danielle provided and managed all aspects of interior design services for small to large scale projects in healthcare, higher ed, and discovery/research markets at BSA LifeStructures in Indianapolis. She enjoyed the experience of working with over 30 clients combined in her 11 years at BSA on intricate new construction and renovation projects. In 2019 she earned her WELL AP credential, as she is passionate about promoting building design that supports human health and well-being.

Danielle graduated from Ball State University with a B.S. in Interior Design and minor in Marketing. She started her career working at Cannon Design’s headquarters in Buffalo, NY, providing interior design services for various project types in K-12, higher education, corporate, and healthcare markets. Danielle also has prior experience working as a Leasing Consultant at a couple properties in Carmel, IN.

Outside of work, Danielle enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling to new places, working on art projects (painting and collage), and spending time with her husband, family, friends, and two cats.

Matt Kompara is the Senior Vice President of Preconstruction at TWG. His responsibilities included conceptual estimating, design management, project bidding, and subcontractor procurement.

Matt graduated from Purdue University, College of Engineering with a BS in Construction Engineering & Management, and from Indiana State University, Scott College of Business with a Master of Business Administration. He is also a LEED Accredited Professional. Matt has experience in the construction industry since 2006 including hospitality, multi-family, student housing, historic adaptive reuse, and retail / mixed use. Previous employers include Pankow Builders, LLC and Thompson Thrift Construction, Inc. Matt has overseen the preconstruction process of over 10,000 units across over 100 individual projects.

Matt is happily married to Bri Kompara, and they have three children: Tatum, Charlie, and Walker.

Rodney joined TWG in 2021 and serves as a Construction Management Associate for the TWG Development team. Rodney has gained well-rounded experience in a range of construction project applications over his career. With over 15 years of construction-management experience ranging from ground-up new construction projects to historical renovations, Rodney excels in managing projects from the early stages of conceptual design through planning and construction. Rodney works together with clients, design professionals and project-related personnel on coordination, scheduling, and implementation of the project details in order to build a successful project.

Rodney holds certifications as a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer from Indiana Business College.

Brian joined TWG in 2022 and currently works in the Construction Management division for TWG Development. Prior to working in Construction Management, Brian gained experience with TWG’s Preconstruction team, where he assisted in taking projects from the conceptual phase to active construction.

Brian graduated from Purdue University in 2022 with a degree in Construction Engineering and Management.

Outside of work, Brian enjoys spending time with friends and family, and loves watching Purdue football games on Saturdays.

Kevin joined TWG in 2024 as Vice President of Accounting. He oversees the accounting function of all TWG-managed properties as well TWG Construction, Development, Management and various other TWG entities. Kevin’s role also emphasizes working capital management and taxation review of the various TWG entities.

Prior to joining TWG, Kevin spent 12 years leading the Fund Management department at CREA, LLC, a national LIHTC syndication firm. At CREA, Kevin’s was primarily responsible for all accounting and tax aspects of CREA's LIHTC investment fund entities, all investor reporting, and pre-closing investment committee reviews and investment structuring. Prior to CREA, Kevin spent 6 years on the audit and cost certification at Dauby O’Connor & Zaleski, LLC.

Kevin graduated from Indiana University, Bloomington – Kelley School of Business in 2005 with majors in Accounting and Finance.

Outside of work, Kevin spends most of his time with his wife and his two sons. He enjoys fishing and golfing when time allows.

Taylor Haviland joined TWG in 2018 and currently serves as the Assistant Controller. His responsibilities include, but are not limited to, managing accounting procedures for the construction, development, and management departments.

Taylor graduated from Purdue University in 2015 with a double major in Accounting and Management with a minor in Finance. Following graduation, he started his career in public accounting at Dauby, O’Connor & Zaleski, LLC (DOZ) preparing audits for their rental real estate clients. During his 2.5 years at DOZ, Taylor acquired his CPA license.

Outside of work Taylor enjoys spending time with his friends, family, and dog.

Quinn joined TWG in 2022 and acts as the Assistant Controller. He is responsible for managing accounting processes and procedures for TWG’s management entity.

Quinn graduated from Ball State University – Miller College of Business in 2014 with a double major in Accounting and Risk Management and earned a M.S. in Accounting from Ball State University – Miller College of Business in 2015. After graduation, he started his career in public accounting at Dauby, O’Connor & Zaleski, LLC (DOZ) performing audit services for 6 plus years. During his time at DOZ, Quinn earned his CPA license.

Outside of work, Quinn enjoys spending time with his wife Asia and dog Zuma, and firing up the smoker for some BBQ.
