THE TRACKS CONNECTS TO THRIVING AREAS IN THE BIRMINGHAM COMMUNITY.
BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA. (June 9, 2022) – TWG (www.twgdev.com), a national real estate development company specializing in commercial, market rate, affordable and senior housing developments, today announces the construction of The Tracks, a $61 million multifamily project coming to Birmingham.
Located at 2400 1st Avenue South, The Tracks is a 273-unit development featuring Studio, 1 Bedroom and 2 Bedroom layouts. Built on nearly five acres, the five-story market rate project will offer ample parking and a pathway connector to the Rotary Trail, a popular walking and biking trail in downtown Birmingham.
The project will fill a gap in the First Avenue South corridor, adding to several new multifamily and mixed-use developments along Rotary Trail. The Tracks serves to connect the booming Parkside District with the Lakeview area. Amenities at The Tracks include a pool deck, fire pits, grilling station, community lounge, gym, indoor bicycle storage, 1 gig internet speeds and more.

This project marks TWG’s first project in the state of Alabama, following the development of successful housing communities across the country. In partnership with the Dept. of Innovation and Economic Opportunity, City of Birmingham, and Jefferson County, The Tracks will provide two units free of charge to local students in Birmingham.
The Tracks is made possible with the support of lender FirstBank and Birmingham designer Fifth Dimension Architecture & Interiors. Construction of The Tracks is expected to begin in June 2022, and the community is expected to be completed in the summer of 2024.
